I am a stay at home mom and former 1st grade teacher. My home is the primary place of learning for my children. I plan to use the public school system to "outsource" part of that education to. My husband and I like most of the public school system and when our children are old enough, we plan on putting them in public school. I am not an advocate of "traditional" homeschooling. I believe in the public school system. I also strongly believe that it's combination of both home education and school that gives a child the most well-rounded education.
Follow us on our adventures as I'm trying to make the most of my home-time to enhance my children's education (well, I've only got one right now :) ). Hopefully there will be something you can use along the way!
